2019: Ribadu support groups declare support for Bindow
The campaign organisations for Nuhu Ribadu and Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla have fused together with the sole aim of ensuring the victory of all candidates of All Progressive Congress during the twenty nineteen general election.
This was made known when the Nuhu Ribadu Campaign organisation led by its Director General, Salihu Bawuro paid a visit on Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla in his private residence, Friday afternoon.
Speaking during the meeting, Alhaji Bawuro said the purpose of their visit was to assure the governor of their total loyalty as candidate of the APC in the state and have received the endorsement of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
While pledging total loyalty and commitment to Governor Jibrilla, the DG said they have earlier issued press statement on their resolved to render total support to the candidature adding that the party cannot be divided while facing election.
Director General of the black Cap Movement in Adamawa state, Aliyu Bello Ganye explained that the black cap movement as well as the Ribadu have political structure with executives at all the local government areas of the state and solicited for their inclusion in the plans ahead of the general elections.
Other speakers from the Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organisation, including Alhaji Yusuf Danjuma, Ahmed Wangubi, and Zakari Madayi stressed that rumours that Ribadu Campaign Organisation will not work for Governor Jibrilla’s second term bid is false adding that they party is one and will continue to work for the victory of President Mohammadu Buhari and Governor Jibrilla during the general election.
Responding, Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla said that he and Nuhu Ribadu are in Politics to improve on the decay infrastructure in the state and stressed that division will spell doom for the party.
The governor expressed delight over the meeting and pointed out that President Muhammad Buhari has done much to improve security and infrastructure hence the need for people of North East to vote him for second term.
He said Chief Felix Tangwami and some of his close aides were at one time with the Nuhu Ribadu and assured that the Ribadu Campaign Organisation will be given a prominent role to play during the election as well as when government is formed for second tenure.
