Bindow wins polling ward with wide margin

The Adamawa State Governor, Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow, won his polling ward in Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections held in the state.

Mr Bindow, candidate of the All Progressive Congress is seeking reelection.

He was sworn in as governor of the state in 2015, shortly after completing his term as federal lawmaker

In the governorship result announced at Mr Bindow’s polling ward , Kolere area of Mubi Local Government on Saturday, the APC polled 4252 votes while the PDP polled 642 votes.

In the state assembly election held in the same polling ward, the APC polled 3877  while the PDP polled 791 votes.

The governor is contesting the governorship seat against his closest rival, Ahmad Umaru Fintiri of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP)
