FACT-CHECK: Adamawa huge income under Bindow: How Fintiri lied against Bindow in claim of Bindow getting more allocation under his watch
Adamawa gov-elect, Ahmad Umaru Fintiri, on Saturday said Bindow administration got a combine income of 332 billion naira in four years.
He made this claim while addressing members of his transition committee at Muna hotel in Yola, Adamawa state capital.
The gov elect said Bindow received a combined income of N332 billion and hopelessly neck deep in debt and has to take overdrafts to pay salary in the last four years..
In his words, ““Posterity will not forgive us if we fail to ask the right questions about how a state that received a combined income of N332 billion is hopelessly neck deep in debt and has to take overdrafts to pay salary in the last four years..
““As a corrective government popularly elected by the people, we will not hesitate to step on toes in the interest and advancement of the public good.
THE CLAIM

Verification of Claim
According to the Ministry of finance, Adamawa state monthly income from FAAC hoovers between 2billion to 4 billion naira per months, before commercial bank deducts loans taken by the state government.
For example in 2018 Adamawa got about 43billion naira from FAAC allocation, Adamawa salary bill stand at about 2.7 billion when deduction is made, the state government cannot pay salary without seeking for overdraft from bank.
