Group to A.T Shehu, PDP: Your Apology will not save Senator Abbo Elisha from prosecution

The chairman Adamawa First Initiative, Mr. Ibrahim Luka have chided A.T Shehu, chairman of PDP in Adamawa state over his alleged apology to Nigerians and the Senate over the moral decadence and the display of street behaviour by Mr. Abbo Elisha.

Ibrahim reminded A.T Shehu and the PDP in Adamawa to emulate the presidential candidate of his party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the National leadership of the PDP that frown and condemned in its entirety the assault of Abbo on the nursing mother and also went beyond party politics to call for the prosecution of Abbo over assaulting a defenceless nursing mother in a sex toy shop.

“We want to tell Adamawa people and Nigerians to disregard the apology of the state PDP chairman as it also seen as a crocodile tears and a damage control method which has failed like a pack of matches, there are many victims of Abbo’s power drunk assault all over the country and we are encouraging them to speak out.

It is also unfortunate that A.T Shehu that should call for Abbo’s prosecution results to emotion of pleading on Abbo’s behalf, this is how the politics of chance and luck is destroying the Adamawa PDP, as many of those in electoral office today never expect to win talk more of sitting in the office and so the public display of ignominy continue by those elected in Adamawa from the PDP rages on.

The group chairman also expressed dismay over the display of religious politics by Senator Abbo during the charade they called press conference in Abuja, Ibrahim said that a careful look at the video shows that Abbo was only remorseful on mentioning the church of God not even his victim off attack, if he (Abbo) remembered church of God he would not have descended on the lady as shown in the video.

We are using this medium to draw the attention of A.T Shehu and Adamawa PDP to call to order the new administration of Fintiri to soft pedal on the ongoing reversal of his predecessor’s decision in office as the backlash will surely throw similar experience of Abbo in Adamawa state and no amount of apology will be accepted if it happens.

As a Lawyer we expect A.T Shehu to call for the immediate prosecution of Abbo not tendering apology on his behalf, apology is emotion, the law is still the law, and we are also calling on the IG of Police to look into the assault by same Mr. Abbo on the photo Journalist”.  The statement said
