Gov. Fintiri loses dad

Father of governor of Adamawa state, Umaru Fintiri, is dead.

The deceased, Alhaji Umaru Badami, who retired from the Nigeria Army, died today, in Yola town of Adamawa.

He was 82.

Alhaji Umaru Badami will be buried, today, according to Islamic injunctions, in statement by Solomon Kumangar, Fintiri media aide.

He wrote: “The death has occurred of Alhaji Umaru Badami

The deceased, who He was an ex-serviceman who retired from the Nigerian Army in 1984 died today in Yola town of Adamawa at the age of 82.

Among his children is Umaru Fintiri, governor of Adamawa state.
