Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno empowers constituents with bags of rice, cash gift

Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno representing Demsa state constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly has given members of her constituents bags of rice, cash gift and children diapers under her Youth Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Scheme (YESAS) programme.

The recipients also received N10, 000 each for registration and other formalities.

Hon. Kate Mamuno during the distribution exercise launch by her, said: “This gesture is in furtherance of the campaign promise she made to her constituents during prior to the general election that brought her to office and to support Gov. Fintiri led state government programme in the area of job creation and youth empowerment.

She urged well-meaning people to contribute towards the uplift of others.

The lawmaker noted that among the flagship programmes of the government in the area of youth empowerment were ‘youth’s empowerment and her plan skill acquisition for Demsa youths’.”

She said she will continue in providing empowerment and skills acquisition programmes for youths in her constituency.

According to her, the gesture is also a way to transform the lives of the young people, noting that empowerment materials will soon be distributed under the programme.

Mamuno said: “The programme is aimed at empowering the beneficiaries to alleviate poverty and enhance their independence. Empowering them will yield further benefits for society when they grow their businesses, employ others and take adequate care of their dependents.”
