Breaking News:Kidnapping: Group accuses Fintiri of paying lip service to security in Adamawa

The Chairman, Adamawa First Initiative (AFI) has accused Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Ahmad Fintiri, of paying lip service to the security situation in the state.

According to the group, Fintiri media aides went ahead to give Adamawa clean health bill on insecurity and also claimed that that Fintiri administration has rid Adamawa of Shila boys and criminal elements.

The group said the governor’s election was based on his allegation of insecurity in Adamawa during the immediate administration of Sen. Jibrilla Bindow and that Shila boys and Fulani herdsmen were operating unhindered.

In a statement issued today in Abuja, the group described as hypocritical, comments of the governor where he accused his predecessor of watching helplessly while shila boys and Fulani herdsmen operates unhindered.

According to the group, Fintiri who claimed he has solved the problem of insecurity in Adamawa is junketing between Abuja and port Harcourt while kidnapping is on the increase in Adamawa.

Chairman of the organisation, Ibrahim Luka, in the statement noted that Governor Fintiri had previously played politics with the security of his state by refusing to tell the truth about the true cause of insecurity in his state, but rather used the unfortunate events that took place in his state to curry political sentiments in his favour.
