Adamawa residents cry out, says we are tired of condolence visits as Fintiri has no solution to Adamawa’s kidnaping problems,

The residents of Jimeta metropolis in Yola, has accused Gov. Fintiri of failure to take decisive steps to end “kidnapping and the operations of Shila boys to guarantee a stable, peaceful and secure state.”

Some of the residents made the remark while lamenting that Fintiri had no solution to Adamawa’s insecurity challenges.

A resident of Jimeta, who identify himself as Abdul-Aziz said it was “completely inexcusable that as an individual, occupying the seat of the governor of the state has failed to organize his parade and articulate a decisive and operable strategy to effectively end day to day kidnapping and the operation of shila boys his administration claimed they have rid the state of.”

Abdul-Aziz  observed that the Fintiri administration “only stops at issuing condemnations, publishing commiserations and embarking on condolence visits with empty assurances, but takes no definite steps to address the situation and bring culprits to book.”

Mr Peter, a Jimeta resident also said: “At most, Fintri and his state officials sit in the safety and comfort of Dougiriei government house to task security agencies and traditional rulers, without concrete security measures to rout perpetrators.

“This complete failure of leadership and abdication of the statutory duties of the governor indicates that the Fintiri administartion has no solutions towards ensuring the security of lives and property in Adamawa.

“Such failure by the Fintiri administration that promised security as a cardinal campaign promise is emboldening perpetuation of violent acts against defenceless citizens by insurgents, bandits, marauders, and kidnappers freely pillaging our compatriots in various parts of our state.

“Each passing day, our state is jolted by shocking news of avoidable violence, mindless killings, and preventable bloodlettings, loss of breadwinners and murder of promising citizens. Indeed, this is not the way to go.

“We are saddening that under Gov. Fintiri, who promised to lead from the front, only to withdraw to the safety of security in government house, yola, we can no longer move freely around state again, especially Girei and Shagari in Yola south local council area of Adamawa state as insecurity pervades on all fronts.

“Instead of seeking help and yielding to competent and patriotic counsel from well-meaning Adamawa residents, the Fintiri administartion has remained heavy on propaganda and false performance indices.

The residents called on Adamawa residents to be more alert and prayerful, continue to be their brother’s keepers and remain steadfast in the collective quest to drive out those that won election of empty promises in 2019.
