Verre youths seek Abdullahi Yapak’s suspension from APC for defending Fintiri’s 9.9 billion loans

A group of protesters under the aegis of Verre Youths for Good Governance has called for the suspension of member representing furfore constituency in the Adamawa state house of assembly, Abdullahi Yapak from APC for defending the 9.9 billion naira loan taken by Gov. Fintiri few months ago.

The Coordinator of the group, Mr Umsan Furfore, made the call on Sunday in Yola during a peaceful protest to the state executive of APC in Adamawa state.

He said that the group’s demand was sequel to Yapak’s records of misconduct at the state house Assembly since APC returned to opposition in Adamawa politics.

He said that the member’s series of misconduct at the state Assembly especially in defending the wrong doing of the governor was not in line with what he was elected for.

“Such misconduct from Yapak has not only brought disgrace to his constituents, but to the Adamawa state APC, we are aware of his plan to decamp to the PDP, we are given him two weeks ultimatum to apologise to APC and we the members of his constituency or we recall him.

“Enough of this embarrassment from this lawmaker who does not know how to fight for the interest of his party and constituents that elected him but against his fellow lawmakers.

“We want him to be suspended first while we fast track the process of his recalling from his verre district, his statement on the 9.9 billion loan today has exposed his secret romance with the PDP and we have it on good authority that he is using this defence mechanism to perfect his defection to the PDP any moment from now ’’ Usman said.

Usman added that the agitation against Yapak as a legislator would subsist until the APC takes appropriate sanction against him.

The Finder recall that Yapak in an interview with The Periscope defended Gov. Fintiri in the face of delay to flag off the 2000 housing since the approval of 9.9 billion naira loan was granted by the ADSHA.
