The meeting of the Taraba leaders of the People’s Democratic Party held in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital on Thursday over the plan Saturday congress was inconclusive.

Leaders of the party who were in attendance disagreed on the modalities to be use in conducting the upcoming congress.

The state party Chairman, Mr Victor Bala, was accused of not addressing the grievances of party members contained in the petition to the national secretariat of the party.

Crisis broke as the state party chairman, Mr. Bala told members of the party to go ahead and hold Congress at their respective Wards/LGs, without addressing some critical issues raised by aggrieved members.

The lawmaker representing Gashaka,Kurmi and Sardauna Federal Constituency, Hon David Abel Fuoh said there are unresolved  issues that must tackle before going into Congress slated for Saturday.

“Honestly Sir we are totally side-lined, we have not been called for any stakeholders meeting until recently, thinking whether we have committed any crime. I think we must resolve pending issues before the Congress will properly take place.” David said

The state party chairman, Victor was accused of hijacking the party by bring admitting new members to detriment of stakeholders due to his plan 2023 Governorship ambition.
