Adamawa residents flay Fintiri’s aide for sharing fake photo of covid 19 isolation centres
Adamawa residents on Twitter and face book have criticised Muhammad Tukur, the social media aide to Governor Fintiri of Adamawa state who shared an old picture and foreign hospital tagged it that of Adamawa state isolation centre equipped by his principal.
Mr Umaru, the governor of Adamawa state have severally claim that the state hospital is equipped to handle any case of corona virus in the state, a claim The Finder Newspaper has since punctured.
Following the recent claim of equipping the state hospital in Yola with mechanical ventilator, Mr. Tukur on took to his Face book page to share a photo of a new isolation centre, during a visit by the governor and attached to each with the caption: “fighting corona virus”.
In less than 24 hours, the fake picture was shared by over 200 users.
Cross-check, a journalism platform that combats fake news later examined the picture with Google Reverse Image and discovered the picture is not new but first appeared online in February 2017 when a foreign foundation, released photos from an outreach when ventilators were donated to a south African hospital.
Angered by this falsehood, Adamawa residents stormed the social media to call for the prosecution of Mr. Tukur.
Others simply cautioned him.
This is not the first time; the aide would be caught posting images misrepresenting facts.
In March, he posted a picture of achievements recorded by his principal to justify the award given to the governor by leadership media group which was later found to be false.

PDP’s Propaganda and tissue of lies will not work in 2023. The earlier they focus on issues the better for them.
