More Troubles for Ishaku Abbo as Adamawa PDP disowns ‘forged’ Appreciation letter on social media

The Adamawa state Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party on Friday said it had uncovered a forged document been brandish on the social media by the senator representing Adamawa north in the Nigerian Senate, Ishaku Abbo.

It said the document purportedly signed by the Barr. A.T Shehu and Preambe the party secretary in Adamawa does not emanate from the party, as the chairman and the secretary does not sign appreciation letter same time, either the secretary or the chairman of the party sign letters, PDP said it is only sensitive documents that required the signature of both chairman and the secretary not appreciation letter.

Shehu, in a statement, said the PDP had not sent any appreciation letter to Ishaku Abbo as alleged by the Senator.

While describing the document in circulation on social media as forged, he said the original document has more than 10 features which are absent in the forged version.

He said, “Footnotes on the party’s original document has page numbers for control purposes as in (1 of 217). The forged document does not.

“Original party document has its reference number as PDP/DOM/GF.V/Vol.2/20-387B (B Stands For Bulk, since all local government get the same letter with same Reference Number). The forged document has none of this.”
