Adamawa State Polytechnic Alumni appeals to Finitiri to rehabilitate deplorable roads on Yola campus.

On Friday, the National President, SPY Alumni Association appealed to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to rehabilitate deplorable roads in the state-owned Polytechnic as the governor’s name will be written in Gold if the less than one-kilometre road network within the Yola campus of the Polytechnic is asphalted.

Mr Mohammed Mohammed, National President of SPY Alumni, who appealed at a news conference, said rehabilitation of the roads would also boost socio-economic activities on the campus.

“The state Polytechnic is the only state-owned institution without a single road network.

“Sadly, all the roads in the polytechnic are all in a deplorable state,” he said.

Mohammed added that the Polytechnic roads’ poor condition was not only causing untold hardship among the people and restricted vehicular movement within the campus.

Mohammed also said that the Polytechnic roads’ poor state had brought the entire newly constructed building infrastructure to ridicule without a single road network within the campus.

“We are therefore calling on the state government to as a matter of urgency fix the Yola campus of the Polytechnic as it is gradually becoming a public shame to the Finas a matter of urgency,” he said.
