Second Anniversary: ‘You Are Not A Failed Leader’, CSO Hails Governor Fintiri’s approach to governance in Adamawa.

The Coalition of Northern Youths for Peace and Development (CNYEPD) has described Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, one of the best performing governors; other leaders should be emulating in Nigeria.

 

The CSO weighed the rating penultimate Friday at Abuja in the build-up to the Second Anniversary of the Governor in Office.

 

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Engr Muhammad Samaila, and National Women Leader Fatima Samuel, The CSO scribe said, “The Adamawa Governor is one of those making history, developing Nigeria and building bridges.

 

He is one of the best performing governors. He is deepening stakeholding, and most leaders have learnt so much from him. “I know him as a man who carries his people along with a very generous, highly principled and passionate person.

 

He is somebody who believes in the corporate existence of Nigeria. “He is called Mr Projects because he opens new frontiers in which he uses projects and programmes to improve the quality of life of his people.

 

He respects an ordinary person on the street, and God willing, he is commissioning symbolically projects that can improve movement and ease the turnaround time for doing businesses.

 

“Indeed, Fintiri is working in Adamawa state and attracting the admiration of his citizens. Fintiri has a heart that’s always willing to excel. “I will also request you to appreciate Umaru Fintiri because, in two years, we have seen a record of performance by the way he has changed the face of the state.

 

“Fintiri Governor has shown that the interest of the people of Adamawa is his interest. Adamawa people are happy to identify and associate with the Governor, I can tell you that by the grace of God, this good work will contiue beyond 2023.”

 

 

 

Governor Fintiri has enjoyed the admiration of many because of his practical and pragmatic approach to life and politics – Muhammad Umar Madagali.

 

The Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon Muhammad Umar Madagali, has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for adopting the best practice in bringing development to all facet of governance in the past two years.

 

The Commissioner said the Governor’s signature projects litter all local governments of the state despite the economic downturn due to covid 19 that ravages the whole world and quantum of looting and destruction of properties during the ends protest.

 

Madagali said the Governor’s wisdom in handling the youth uprising was why normalcy returned in short for the current infrastructure projects to be put in place by the Governor despite the violence that trailed the youths’ action.

 

In a statement, Madagali also hailed the Governor to prioritise other areas of the economy apart from road infrastructure and grant full financial autonomy to the 21 local Government of Adamawa state under his watch for two years as Governor.

 

 

“We, therefore, call on all Adamawa sons and daughters to support the government of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to enable him to succeed.

“Governor Fintiri is doing a lot in projects in the twenty-one local governments of Adamawa state. The facts are there to see except for people who want to distort deliberately

Facts.”

 

“Without fear of contradiction, Governor Fintiri has enjoyed the admiration of many because of his practical and pragmatic approach to life and politics.

 

A new Adamawa has become possible under Gov. Fintiri- Adamawa ALGON Boss, Jingi.

 

The Chairman, Adamawa state chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Hon. Rufai Jingi has hailed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for developmental stride within two years in office.”

 

The ALGON Chapter Chairman said the Governor’s achievements within two years are landmark achievement and deliberate hard work to deepen democracy at the grassroots.

 

Mr Jingi, in his immediate response to the Governor’s second-anniversary celebration, noted that with the “unsparing, unequivocal and unambiguous” performance of the Governor, it has now become crystal clear that opposition is dead in Adamawa and a new Adamawa has become possible under Gov. Fintiri’s watch.

 

Jingi commended the gallantry of the Governor for granting full financial autonomy for the 21 local governments to deepen developments at the grassroots as immeasurable, stressing that the Governor’s steadfastness and doggedness eventually paid off not only for themselves but for democracy as an institution at the grassroots.
