2023: Forget It, You Can’t Unseat Fintiri in Adamawa ―Mohammed Tells Adamawa APC

AHEAD of the battle for the soul of Adamawa State come 2023, a one-time governorship aspirant and chieftain of the Action democratic (ADP), Mohammed Usman, has said that no opposition formula or strategy can unseat Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri from the government house come 2023.

Mohammed said this while reacting to a statement credited to Senator Nyako, an APC chieftain who said the opposition would not repeat the mistake of 2019.

Mohammed made the statement over the weekend in reaction to Nyako’s claim of APC sacking Fintiri in 2023.

“As an individual, I have decided along with other committed APC leaders who want change in Adamawa State that we will not do things the same way again this time because the opposition in Adamawa has not had this type of opportunity that is available to us today.

However, Mohammed, in a chat with Journalists, said that from all indications, there was no formula or a new strategy that would be employed by the opposition that could be of threat to the PDP in the state.

“The truth remains that PDP is too strong in Adamawa State to be concerned about the opposition formula or strategy.

“The failure rate of the APC at the federal level has made it even more difficult for the people of Adamawa to accept the opposition here in the state.

“PDP, as led by our amiable governor, Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri, is waxing stronger and stronger in the state; soon there will be an avalanche of decamping from the opposition to our party which will result in the final and total collapse of the opposition structure if there is any existing in the state” he added.
