Defection: You’ve abused the privilege we accorded you, PDP blasts Sen. Bent

The Adamawa chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) says Grace Bent, a former senator representing Adamawa south in the seventh senate, will soon realise that she has wasted what remained in her goodwill with her defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

 

Bent announced her resignation from the PDP penultimate Monday. 

 

The former senator had defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC). She won the election into the seventh senate in 2007 and failed to win re-election.

 

In a statement, Hamza Madagali, the state PDP organising secretary, said Bent’s resignation would not affect the party’s fortune in 2023 in any way.

 

Hamza said Bent abused the welcome and privilege accorded her by the PDP supporters, noting that the former senator’s action showed her desperation to return to the senate.

 

“Grace Bent has abused the welcome and privilege accorded her by our party supporters during her brief stay in the party, “Hamza said.
