Police Nab 14 Suspected Kidnappers in Adamawa
Fourteen suspected kidnappers terrorizing Adamawa State and its environs have been arrested by the State police command.
They were arrested by the police operatives attached to the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) in their hideout following a piece of credible information and intelligence.
The Adamawa Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed this in a statement in Yola on Tuesday.
The fourteen suspects arrested are 1. Sanda Buba, 33years old and resident of Bausman village, Chigari in Fufore LGA.
2. Aliyu Abubakar, 34years old, resident of Yolde Pate,Yola south LGA
3.Ashiru Sarkin Yamma, 25years a resident of no fixed address.
4 Tukur Hammadu, 35years old and a resident of Yolde Pate, Yola south.
5. Abdul Isa, 35years old and hailed from samunaka in Yola South LGA.
6. Idris Musa, 27years, resident of Malabu, Fufore LGA.
7. Samaila Garba, 25years a resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA.
8. Mumini Idirisu, 25years a resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA.
9. Abubakar Yau, 30years a resident of Sabongari, Jada LGA.
10. Adamu Hussein, 25years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village,Jada LGA.
11. Martins Haruna, 24years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA.
12. Shehu Abubakar, 30years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA
13. Bamanga Ali, 30years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA.
14. Nuvalga Musa, 33years, a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA.
According to him, the arrest of the suspects was a sequel to the crime prevention strategies and control adopted by the Command under the leadership of Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, Commissioner of Police in the state to rid the state of crimes and criminalities.
“To this end, the Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, assures members of the public that Adamawa State Police Command, in synergy with other security agencies, is determined to provide adequate security for all,” Nguroje said.
All the suspects, according to the PPRO, will be charged to court after investigations.
