Fintiri gives fallen heroes’ children N27m, names street after late General Zirkushu.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has announced a donation of N27 million to cater to the education of fallen heroes’ children.

Fintiri announced at the burial ceremony of the late Brigadier Dzarma Zirkushu and seven others that paid the supreme price penultimate week at Uba Askira local government of Borno state.

The governor directed the renaming of Lagos Street, Yola, to Brigadier General DK Zirkushu street. 

“Apart from supporting the families of those military officers that paid the supreme price, I have directed the renaming of Lagos street after the late General who paid the ultimate price in the active service of our country. Fintiri said.

He declared Nigerians must unite and motivate the Nigerian Armed Forces to defeat the insurgents in the North East.

He said: “The war on terror in the North East has raged for too long, claiming too many military and civilian victims.

“We must come together as a nation to do whatever that is necessary to support and motivate our soldiers to win this terrible war as quickly as possible and save the nation and our brothers, sisters and the children from the North East from the continuing violence, abductions, and devastation by Boko Haram and their affiliates.”
