ADAMAWA SOUTH 2023: THE CAP FITS SAMAILA NUMAN; LET HIM WEAR IT FOR THE GOOD OF ALL.
Over the years, one has not noticed the kind of thoroughness, caution and maturity with which a former secretary, FCDA, Adamu Samila Numan, handled the heterogeneous task bestowed on him by the Federal capital territory development authority.
Just as youths in their thousand, sound a note of warning to the current senator representing Adamawa south in the senate, Binos Yaroe, to stay clear of contesting in 2023 as they have wholeheartedly endorsed Adamawa state Samaila Numan for senate in the southern zone of the state the youths in their numbers said, “all the aspirants are qualified, and any of them can do better than the incumbent Senator Binos Yaroe”.
For them, Adamu Samila Numan joining the line-up of APC Senatorial aspirants in 2023 is star-studded.
The youth leader also said: “I am not a politician, but in the course of walking across the nine local governments of Adamawa south I discussed with people along the way, and the consensus is that Adamu Samila Numan is the right person to be voted as the senator representing, Adamawa south come 2023”.
On the reason why the people are rooting for the Samaila, he said that they told him that the former FCDA secretary has uncommon display commitment, humility and seriousness in handling the affair of FCDA as the secretary is a youth-friendly person and that he has the unity as well as the unity of the entire people of Adamawa south at heart.
He also said that Adamu is the only candidate who can win back Adamawa south for the APC.
The jubilation and loud ovation that greeted the youth leader’s comments at Shelleng penultimate Wednesday, where members of the different youth’s movement gathered in large numbers to endorse Adamu Samila’s candidature come 2023, was overwhelming. It was as if it was choreographed.
This tacit endorsement by the youth’s group, the audience at the gathering, proves that minds are made up of who the APC should put forward as its candidate if the party earnestly desires to win the 2023 Adamawa South senatorial election.
On March 4th, 2021, The Finder newspaper published a report on the criteria that the youth groups said must be met by all aspirants who are desirous of clinching the party’s ticket in the 2023 Adamawa South senatorial election.
The criteria include acceptability across the nine local government areas of the state, political viability, structures built over time and bridges built across the local governments.
From all indications, Adamu Samaila scores A+ in all the criteria listed. In terms of acceptability, Adamu Samaila is already a household name across the nine local councils of Adamawa south.
