Ramadan: Fintiri Urges Peace And Unity

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended the warmest congratulations to the Adamawa people and the Muslim Ummah on the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“May Almighty Allah bring it back to us and all humanity with goodness and blessings. May Allah protect Adamawa and its people”, the Governor said.

While expressing his sincere sentiments and best wishes for good health and a peaceful Ramadan, Governor Fintiri also prayed to Allah to bestow his blessings on all Muslims, wishing it would be a month of security, peace, and stability all over the world.

“I solemnly pray that Almighty Allah continues to bestow his blessings and mercy on our beloved State and Country”.
Fasting during the Holy Month is one of the five pillars of Islam and is mandatory for all Muslims in good health.

Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri noted that Prophet Mohammed spent generously on the poor and the needy during this period and urged Muslims to copy a good example.

He admonished Muslims always to remember those who are less privileged and reach out to them and help the Government confront the challenges facing the nation.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is grateful to Allah that Muslims are finally able to gather.

There are no strict restrictions this time. As noted, “The improving COVID situation has brought optimism as the Ramadan Holy Month is upon us as we commence the Ramadan fast.

I urge Muslims to increase their love for humanity, acts of charity, Kindness and gratitude”.

Governor Fintiri, who regretted that Nigeria has sadly witnessed the recent escalation of division and insecurity, urged the people to endeavour to work together and bring an end to that.

“The Month of Ramadan is intended to teach Muslims how to live good and compassionate lives. It is a Month of sacrifice, abstinence and above all, love”. He said.

While urging for peace, love and unity amongst Nigerians, the ATM Governor advised that “Everyone must join hands to repair the fabric of love and oneness that bind the people together. Nigerians must close ranks and refuse to accommodate the machinations of those who speak to profit from their pains or widen the lines of division”.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, therefore, prayed to Allah to grant all Muslims the strength to complete the fasting period successfully.
