KAI slams social media enthusiast Zayad Muhammad over comment on Fintiri.
A group, the Kungiyar Adamawa Initiative, KAI, Wednesday demanded an immediate retraction and a public apology from a social media enthusiast, Zayad Muhammad, for alleging that Governor Fintiri is sponsoring a proxy in 2023 to handover to him in 2027 when he must have finished his eight years as Governor.
This is even as the group took exception to Zayad’s recent outburst against Adamawa state governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
While calling on his sponsor to call Zayad to order, the group threatened to punish Zayad if he fails to apologize for his comment.
Addressing newsmen in Yola, convener of the group, Bello Ibrahim, said, “our attention has been drawn to the several disparaging comments of the social media enthusiasts and a jobless internet rat, Zayad Muhammad, wherein he openly attacked that Governor who is busy on seeking reelection in 2023 e PDP.
“Just yesterday, Zayad Muhammad, in his usual manner, attacked the Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Rt. Umaru Fintiri claiming that the Governor is looking for a weakling that will hand over the senate seat to him when he completes his eight years in 2027.
“As if that was not enough, the social media enthusiast, Zayad, took another swipe on the Governor of Adamawa state, alleging that the Governor’s action and inaction are after much pressure he can’t resist.
“It is distasteful also to recall a scenario where Zayad spat at the reverence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is one of his infantile outings.
Zayyad was seen doubting the allegiance of the Governor to the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, that unpopular outing is the most uncomplimentary remarks against Atiku by anyone from Adamawa state in recent history.
It is laughable that Zayad who fails to create a crisis between Atiku and Governor, is now a preacher of morality.
“Worthy of note too is that Zayad has serially disrespected his colleague’s social media enthusiast, as he unceremoniously assumes the role of a moral compass.
Zayad is assuming the status of a demigod in social media, as his conducts negate the principles of appropriateness.
“Zayad infantile outings call for concern, but more worrisome is the silence of youths and Zayad’s paymaster, particularly when he mockingly tries to ignite the Governor’s and former vice president’s crisis. Their silence was, in principle, a show of cowardice or tacit approval of Zayyad’s misdemeanour.
“Courtesy and decorum are now obsolete in the public conduct of Zayad. A self-acclaimed Journalist should be wary of his public utterances, particularly now that peace is the centre stage of PDP in Adamawa.
“At Kungiyar Adamawa Initiative, we are perturbed by the conduct of this fellow, for same could snowball into anarchy.
Zayyad Muhammad’s tendencies are infamous and dangerous, and every leader of conscience must rise to halt the serial abuses of Zayyad,” Ibrahim said.
Consequently, the group demanded, amongst others, “an immediate retraction and a public apology from Zayyad Muhammad for his imaginary social media post that the Governor is shopping for a weakling that will hand over to him in 2027.
Zayyad has proven to be a flammable social media enthusiast that would use his page recklessly.”
