Forget 2023, Adamawa Northern youth groups tell Boni Haruna.

A coalition of youth groups in Adamawa Northern Senatorial district has called on a former Governor of Adamawa state, Boni Haruna, not to seek to contest election into the senate.

The coalition leaders, called Adamawa Northern Youth Coalition, stated this when they addressed journalists at Abuja on Thursday.

They said they were dissatisfied with Mr Boni’s performance as Governor and minister and that seeking election into the senate in 2023 “could be a disgraceful move.”

The coalition leader, JohnTizhe and his secretary, Salisu Madagali, spoke on behalf of the coalition of 12 youth groups.

“We observed with utmost dismay that Boni Haruna, who could not remember the road to Michika for several years, went to buy form to contest for senate in 2023 knowing fully well he has no electoral value, electorates in Adamawa north are already disappointed with the way things are going under Boni as minister.

“This was characterised by the former governor’s deafening ears to the yearnings of the citizenry as witnessed in the falling standard of attainment of basic of life needed by ordinary Nigerians especially we of Adamawa north,” Mr Tizhe said.

“We are calling on the former governor that the 2011 humiliation awaits if he fails to seek the refund of his nomination of interest form from PDP as he can not longer win a councillor in Adamawa again.”

The officials said the so-called achievements of Boni as Governor and minister were insufficient to campaign with as he cannot point to any achievements as minister for youths under Jonathan.

Mr Tizhe, while answering questions from journalists, said any politician is not sponsoring his group as he wonders what Boni has forgotten in Adamawa political arena that he return to correct
