Adamawa North 2023: Time to rescue Adamawa north from the clutch of apprentice politicians; only Shafani can change the political narratives
Youths from the Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha local governments of Adamawa state have endorsed the Senatorial aspiration of Buba Shafani, saying thatADamawa north must experience “the change we need. The voice we deserve at this crucial stage of our development.
The youths who converged in mubi for a town hall meeting represented by the National Coordinator of Rescue Adamawa North Mission, Abdulahi Shaibu, said Shafani represents the face of new generation leaders who have been yearning for political space.
The youths, under the National Youths for positive change from mubi north, Michika, madagali, Maiha and Mubi south chapters, said youths had been deprived for too long even as the current senator could point to any achievement he has attracted to our people apart from being a social media enthusiast, adding that 2023 is a date with history. Only Shafani can change the political narratives.
In his address, the Michika Mobilisation Officer for Rescue Adamawa North, John Tizhe, said: “We have gotten wrong from 2019 till date as the current occupants of the seat has no achievement to point to; we are not against him, but we need a pragmatic leader, Buba Shafani is an epitome of domestication.
“Buba Shafani has excelled in his adventure in business as he is one of the most successful businessmen in Adamawa state. We want him to replicate the same perfomance trait in the senate in 2023. We are doing this because we want a mature person to lead Adamawa north in the senate,” the student unionist stated.
Speaking at the event also, the Mubi chapter chairman of RAN, Comrade Daniel Muchalla, said:” On behalf of us in Muchalla, we will not have a choice but to take part.
When you become a Senator, try as much as you can to carry our youths along. As for us young people in Adamawa north, the future we want is now; Adamawa north senatorial districts constituents are indeed suffering, so we need to get it working again.”
Speaking on behalf of Madagali youths, the Ijafaiya Peter said: “We have seen a man whose zeal and commitment differs; he believes in the youths. We should give Buba Shafani all the support he needs. We should vote for Buba and promote the youths. And on behalf of Madagali Youths, we stand for the youths, through Buba Shafani,” he affirmed.
On his part, comrade, Pakka, RAN Deputy Chairman for Maiha, said: “You only give what you have. Let me say, Buba Shafani is experienced enough in his Youth inclusive in business; the youths of Maiha are very much with him.”
Commending the people of the five local governments for their bold initiative, Mohammed stated that nothing within the law will stop us from taking Buba Shafani to the senate in 2023 because we know our five local governments will grow to prosperity.
“There is a unique platform with Buba Shafani’s aspiration with all his ideology. We designed and developed an empowerment platform that will soon be role out. All the youths are expected to have a unique identification number used for all the empowerment.
“Buba Shafani has 3 million youth support for his candidacy, and we will rescue this Adamawa north from inexperience and immature political apprentice only if we come together”, he said.
