Window dressing empowerment can’t distract me, says Gov Fintiri.
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reiterated that he will not be distracted by the opposition and its agents in Adamawa using window dressing empowerment to hoodwink the public, saying that hijacking any state government initiative in partnership with the FG as done penultimate Monday by the APC in Adamawa state is laughable and unfortunate.
In a statement by his chief press secretary Humwashi Hunosioku in Yola, the Governor insisted that he would not join issues with anyone that wanted to play God.
The Governor’s statement was apparently in response to the statement credited to APC in Adamawa claiming to organize the 20,000 naira conditional transfer to the poorest of the poor, which is the social welfare programme of the FG.
Emphasizing that nobody can use lies to deceive the people of Adamawa state again, as everyone knows about the FG’s social welfare scheme, the Governor promised to be more focused than before. He will not be distracted by Binani and APC shenanigans.
“I will not be distracted by any person or persons who have a problem with self-delusion; I will not be distracted by any person who does not appreciate that our government has transformed Adamawa state to city standard; we are all stakeholders in this commonwealth called Adamawa state.
“I am not going to join issues with anyone that wants to play God, I will leave them to God and the people of Adamawa state that has known the truth and lies, All I can say is that what we stand for in Adamawa State is an administration that is committed to providing purposeful leadership and purposeful infrastructural development across the length and breadth of the state,” he said.
The Governor also noted that his administration would continue to be against the campaign of discord that would disrupt the peace and continuous development of the state.
He added that his administration remained committed to developing all sectors of the state economy.
Governor Fintiri expressed shock that he still could not believe that Adamawa APC, that boost of popularity, could hide under the initiative of the FG to claim glory to what it knows nothing about.
“Anyone can explain their failure whichever way they like, however if Adamawa APC thinks by claiming glory of another that can give them victory then, they have already lost”, Fintiri said, adding that he was not perturbed.
