APC crisis gets messier in Adamawa as the party suspends Mustapha Atiku as organising secretary.

Bako Ward of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yola South Council of Adamawa State has suspended the state’s organising secretary, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu.

Atiku, a staunch supporter of Nuhu Ribadu, has been blamed for the recent crisis rocking the Adamawa chapter of the All Progressive Congress in the state.

Ward Secretary of the party, Adamu Mohammed  Alkali, announced Atiku’s suspension at the party’s extraordinary meeting in Yola town, saying 16 of the executive members endorsed the suspension.

Alkali said that, despite his high political status and inability to run the party, Atiku had not brought development to the area.

His words: “The Bako Ward executive of the APC in Yola town on January 21, 2023, discussed issues affecting the party.” The ward executive suspended Atiku after a duly constituted meeting convened by the secretary on the instructions of the chairman in accordance with the party’s constitution.”

“The party at the local government level will further reaffirm his suspension and thank the party at the local government and state level.”

“Until further notice, Atiku remains suspended.” “For now, until you hear from us again, Atiku remains suspended,” he added.

Samaila Taddawus, the state chairman of the APC, did not answer his cell phone or respond to a text message sent to him at the time this report was written, so it was not possible to get his opinion on the situation.
