Group to Binani: “If a minority is unfit to rule Adamawa, forget 2023,” as Bindow vows to lay waste to the APC.

The Adamawa ethnic nationality still agitated after a meeting in Yola on Monday, demanded that the alleged anti-Kabilu statement attributed to the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate in Adamawa, Aishatu Dahiru Binani, be withdrawn within seven days or she should forget about 2023.

The senator is accused of making disparaging remarks about a minority tribe during a courtesy call at the monarch’s palace in Adamawa’s Furfore local government.

The group’s leaders, Kabiru Digil, Awwal Hamza, Pwanovi Mathias, and Joseph Yohana, told reporters immediately after the meeting that if the quote attributed to Binani is true, she should forget about the 2023 elections.

Instead, he urged people not to politicise the issue and to take it seriously, as Binani needs all tribes to back Adamawa’s victory.

The senator’s comments enraged the group, and they claimed she had already lost the votes of Adamawa’s Kabilas.

The Adamawa state APC, according to Mathias Pwanovi, is “under siege by an unknown satanic force that has had surgery but does not appear to be improving.” He was referring to the decision of Senator Jibrilla Bindow to leave the party.

“We think the APC is a good opponent in Adamawa, but it’s shocking that people who should be setting an example act like Janjaweed”.

One might wonder if the senator’s “empowerment” is biased towards a specific ethnic group because one ethnic tribe in Adamawa benefited overwhelmingly from the “free medical service.”

“It struck me as odd that the Senator believes that one ethnic tribe in Adamawa will deliver her in the March elections, which is a fallacy; if a Kabila is not fit to be governor of Adamawa State, she should forget 2023.”

Senator Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, a former Adamawa State governor and All Progressives Congress leader, has joined the People’s Democratic Party. He did so in a grand ceremony attended by Adamawa State Governor Umaru Fintiri and the state party chairman, Barr. AT Shehu.

Bindow told the massive crowd that they will back Atiku and Fintiri in the 2023 elections, vowing to destroy his former party, the All Progressives Congress.

“I have returned to my original home, and we will uproot the APC in Adamawa this time.” Bindow stated
