Adamawa APC: We are stating for the future that anyone who supports the devilish result of Fufore should be expelled from our party, not Boss Mustapha.”- Group
The crisis in the Adamawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seems to be getting worse by the day after a political pressure group within the party called for the suspension of the APC candidate in Adamawa, Aishatu Dahiru, AKA Binani.
The pressure group, Free Adamawa APC, supporters of Nuhu Ribadu, made the call in a statement signed by its director general, Muhammed Ibrahim.
The call comes after the Binani faction of the APC in Adamawa messed up the suspension of Boss Mustapha, the secretary to the federal government of the Federation.
The statement said Boss Mustapha has not committed any crime against the APC for him to be suspended, adding that “if the party is looking for people to suspend for anti-party activities, the candidate of the party, Aishatu Binani Dahiru, should go first.”
It said that the Binani faction of the APC in Adamawa was being mischievous and stupid by suspending the SGF. It also said that Aishatu Binani and others would bring down the party in 2019 because they were allegedly anti-party and openly in love with the opposition.
The statement read in part: “We learned that there was a fake suspension of the secretary to the government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, because he refused to join the “I must win mentality of Aishatu Binani. If there is anyone that should be expelled from the party, it is those who brought the party to its knees in Adamawa, and Binani is the arrowhead.
“The SGF is a man of integrity; did Binani want him to be part of the concocted result from Furfore?” We knew that our party was planning to hide behind a thug who stole the result sheet in Furfore to make way for a fake result, but INEC IREV found out about it in the end.
“We are saying this for the up-coming times that anyone that supports the concocted devilish result of Fufore should be expelled from our party, not Boss Mustapha. We have lost the election, and no amount of magic can change that fact.
“On election day, having seen that our party had lost the election, they raised alarm with the security agencies that Fintiri’s supporters were thumb printing in a house in Jimeta just to divert attention, and they went for the kill in Fufore, where the IREV exposed them.
“The APC in Admawa is in comatose. If urgent steps are not taken, it may not come out of it early enough, if at all, to be fit and capable of making a strong showing in the 2027 elections. No one has respect for any person or group that cannot solve their problems.”
The group further recommended that the only way out of the quagmire was to resolve the issues with all stakeholders.
“As members of the APC, we cannot support our party by bringing in questionable votes from Fufore that are far higher than the accredited voters in the entire local government just to maintain the “I will win at all costs” mentality.
“These people are destroying our party by using all their connections to force their will on the government, which is not working, and they choose to vent their anger on Boss Mustapha, a loyalty party member.”
The group maintained that the path of constitutionalism is the only viable way out of the situation the party has found itself in.
