Fintiri laments poll manipulation by REC; Hudu Ari appeals for calm.

Umaru Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa state, has urged all Nigerians and Adamawa residents to be calm in the aftermath of Saturday’s manipulation and illegal announcement of the Aishatu Binani by resident electoral commissioner, Yunusa Hudu Ari, on Sunday morning.

Mr. Fintiri addressed an international press conference at the government house in Yola, saying he feels the agony and frustration that Nigerians and Adamawa citizens felt as a result of Hudu Yunusa’s illegal proclamation.

He stated that, while he regards the APC candidate’s illegal declaration as a false attempt to undermine Nigeria’s democratic process, Nigerians and Adamawa locals should not be persuaded to take any action that will imperil the state further.
