An open letter to Ahmad Sajoh: “No APC mandate was stolen in Adamawa.”
I was getting some fresh air through my window when I came across an article reportedly published by Ahmad Sajoh in which he claimed the APC had been robbed of their mandates in Adamawa. To my dismay, he claimed that PDP-supporting thugs thrashed two national commissioners.I believe this is my greatest chance to clear the air for Sajoh and Adamawa communities.
As a journalist, I was completely involved in my organization’s investigation to discover the failed civilian coup that occurred in Adamawa state and present the information to the wider public so that they could understand what really happened in the Adamawa governorship elections.
Hudu Yunusa, the renegade REC, was at the hub of it all. It was uncovered that those who utilised him in the failed coup brought him with them and understood all along that he would be used to stifle the will of the people of Adamawa. Some of the opposition candidates were claiming at every opportunity that they would win the election whether Fintiri liked it or not.
Fufore’s concoction:
The commotion caused by the fabricated Fufore results has yet to settle, which is why Sajoh is still claiming the extraordinary rigging shown by God Almighty.
First, they accused the governor of forcing the returning officer to announce a result against his will; if the EO does so, he will write to INEC alleging force declaration and the result will be reviewed; however, as of this writing, the EO has not claimed intimidation, as the APC has.
I challenge the APC to tell the people that they have 37000 votes to lay claim to. I remember when I was much younger, a friend of mine was caught with stolen mangoes in his pocket, and he immediately raised the alarm that all of us with him should be searched as well because he believes he is not the only one who stole, and this is exactly what the APC in Adamawa is doing now.
Ahmad Sajoh is still unable to give the result sheet including the 37000 votes, and all of the IREV results disclose their wicked schemes against the people of Adamawa.
The INEC head of ICT in Adamawa was transferred for not supporting Hudu’s attempt to truncate the will of the people, because the young man was diligent enough to download all of Fufore’s polling unit results, and it was discovered that 2000 votes were added to the APC candidate in the result sheet rejected by APC.
An INEC official was attacked.
I’m not attempting to rationalise the attack on INEC employees; I understand that the national commissioner who was attacked was mistaken for Hudu.
How can a former state commissioner of information claim that a winner arose from an unfinished election? Ten local government results are still waiting as a result of Hudu’s hasty and illegal announcement of Binani as winner, but Sajoh sees no justification for this; hitting an INEC official was due to provocation and the action of the rogue REC.
Binani was the first to come to the aid of the attacked DSS official, claiming that the man talked under duress.
The DSS staff is still alive and has kept his lips sealed to this day; why is Binani defending him? Is she the spokesperson for the alleged DSS officials? Aside from that, she continued to defend Hudu’s illegal behaviour.
We are all aware that under any law, you cannot quote any section in isolation; rather, you must adhere to the spirit of the law. When the APC and its agents cite Section 149, and the rogue REC letter mentions it in his letter to the IGP, he has forgotten that Section 84(15) gives INEC the authority to review any declaration that is not in accordance with the EA, 2022, as well as Sections 64 and 65, which give the INEC returning officer the sole authority to declare a winner in an election.
Nowhere in the entire electoral legislation does a REC have the authority to declare a winner.
Another of their assertions is that two national INEC commissioners were cooperating with the PDP.
According to my source, the opposition party went so far as to want to choose local government returning officers to protect the rigging plots.
When the two national commissioners arrived, they thwarted the plot by bringing in neutral returning officiers , and mayhem broke free. The opposition believes the two are hell-bent on derailing those plans, which is one of the reasons Hudu could not wait for the collation to be completed before making the illegal announcement.
Which one did we follow? The APC claims the two national commissioners were attacked because they refuse to work for the PDP, and same time claims the two national commissioners were attacked because they work for the PDP, which one is right.
It has happened INEC did the right thing and it will still happen in the court right from Tribunal to Supreme court as Judges all were in Nigeria when the illgal declaration was made by a man that adjourned collation to 11 am the following day only to sneak into INEC office in Yola by 9am to illegally declare Binani the winner a mandate the electoral act fail to confer on him.
Finally, Sajoh should be at peace with himself, the same hope he widely disseminated in 2015 when he was caught on tape claiming that Nyako would be declared winner and Bindow would be removed from office; he has also forgotten that in 2019, he advised Bindow to accept defeat.
Why is it so difficult to advise Binani to accept defeat, or is he still basking in the euphoria of Binani’s arrival, which he knows within his spirit is false?
Hudu should come out of hiding and tell the whole world if he can act outside the responsibility given to him by INEC chairman, if truly the two INEC national commissioners are dining with PDP, which is false, what prevents Hudu from calling the national headquarters to report their activities? Fintiri won because a house based on lies will not survive the test of time.
