Adamawa Governorship: Binani is no victim, as no amount of opinion writing by Ahmad Sajoh can serenade the people.

It was both the finest and the worst of times.” This is the epic prologue to Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, widely regarded as a literary classic.

If this opening were applied to the reality of Adamawa governorship polls in 2023, the result would be similar to this saying: “The governorship election that took place on March 18th was murder by desperate opposition in Adamawa due to one of the candidates hallowed dream of making history by crook and by hook.”

I was disappointed to read Ahmad Sajoh’s piece, in which he attempted to serenade Nigerians and the noble people of Adamawa State, who wisely beat the anti-people forces who consider politics as a game of chance and luck.

Even his close friend is perplexed as to how a candidate can declare a victory when results from ten local councils are still pending, and how Hudu, the rogue REC, obtained the authority to declare Binani the winner of a governorship race. At the perspective of a child at an elementary school, no amount of sugar coating by Sajoh could make his candidate’s illegal declarations legal.

I challenge Sajoh to name any incident record during the governorship election in Adamawa other than when the apprentice politicians who failed to upgrade their knowledge went to manually allocate votes to themselves in Fufore and were caught red handed, and since then the sleep of every son and daughter of Adamawa has been murdered because Sajoh’s preferred candidate fails to clinch the covet seat that they were given 100% assurance that they will get.

When Sajoh alleges there were attacks on INEC workers, Hudu should be held accountable because no one would have confused the INEC national commissioner for Hudu if he had not falsely declared Binani the winner.

I understand why the APC candidate and Sajoh continue to defend Hudu’s outrageous declaration despite international outrage and condemnation. Hudu has followed the script that was properly written for him to destroy democracy, even if it means killing everyone in Adamawa. The desperate opposition candidate is going to govern Adamawa on stones and grass.

Sajoh has forgotten that Binani led full security to harass and ransack the PDP situation room in the name of ballot stuffing, and that is not violence or harassment to Sajoh; it is only the rage directed at INEC officials mistaken for Hudu that has caused him to preach to the people, and it was flatly rejected.

If anyone is shameless, it is the one who writes all hours of the day and night to defend the killers of democracy in Nigeria and Adamawa, who were eventually revealed by God Almighty.

How can anyone say that a candidate who read a speech while fully aware that the results of ten councils are still being collated is a victim of electoral fraud perpetrated by the rogue REC, Hudu?

can anyone claim that a victim is a candidate who cannot justify the 37,000 fictitious votes recorded by her situation room but not on any INEC result sheet? How can a candidate claim to be a victim of BVAS manipulation while failing to name any local government units where BVAS was not used?

Sajoh does not understand why only INEC workers at the headquarters have access to IREV and not staff at a state office in Adamawa. Hudu will be able to supervise a rerun because he was recorded on the phone urging a returning officer to aid in inflating votes for a female contender.

I dare Sajoh to reveal who instructed Hudu to aid a female candidate, or no one in Adamawa will take him seriously again.

Sajoh has accused everyone who does not support Hudu’s flagrant loots of people of being financially motivated; he accused my editor via SMS of feeding on crumb in order to humiliate seniors.

How can a man who deceived Bindow that promoted him from CPS to commissioner suggest that people eat crumb to defend the truth?

Sajoh argues that traditional rulers have been persecuted, but fails to demonstrate how the governor or the ministry of local government order the suspension or removal of any monarch in Adamawa.

I mourn for the former commissioner who turned a blind eye to the ward executive who was paid to suspend key APC members in Adamawa, including the SGF, Boss Mustapha.

Finally, Sajoh should be aware that the tribunal will investigate how results from local councils were pending and a winner was illegally declared; the court will also investigate how a man without the authority to declare a winner illegally arrogated the powers of a returning officer to himself and did the unthinkable; and the court will laugh at those who claim BVAS was bypassed but cannot name a single unit when this occurs.

Binani was never a victim, but I believe those who attempt to serenade the people of Adamawa are doing so to justify a boost in pay.
