Adamawa School of Nursing: “Transfer of anger from Fintiri to Lami as romance cannot be contrived to rape.”

The Adamawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery in Yola is experiencing a resurgence of religious and ethnic intolerance. Dr. Lami Aminu, the provost of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, came under attack from a member of the governing council at the end of last year, along with a “wanna be” hiding under the guise of journalism who is known for bigotry.

This was all because Dr. Aminu had instructed students to pay for admission forms at the EYN microfinance bank in Yola.

The provost’s reputation was attacked multiple times, but she persisted with the admission and successfully brought it to a close. The racists and the bigots of all stripes refused to leave her alone and kept up their fruitless campaign.

In order to destroy Dr. Lami’s reputation, they have once again teamed up with the same member of the governing council. They have wasted time and energy trying to discredit Adamawa State Governor Umaru Fintiri before the 2023 election.

Someone who aspires to be a journalist but doesn’t write like one expressed outrage when Fintiri defeated the main oppostion candidate and continues to hold out hope that the candidate will somehow be elected governor.

On the Thursday before last, Adamawa and the nursing community awoke to an imaginary story written by a wannabe journalist who has been on the offensive, claiming that Fintiri had defeated the APC candidate and had transferred his anger to Dr. Lami Aminu, accusing her of allowing her son, Faisal, who is an adult, to befriend a lady who could not cope with the academic scope of the college and was later withdrawn from the institution.

He made up a story about the provost’s son raping and impregnating a woman and then threatened to kidnap her or her family if they ever found out, all in his typical and imagined style of writing, which stands in stark contrast to that of a journalist.

The Finder asked the woman at the centre of the controversy about her relationship with Faisal on Friday morning, and she confirmed that she was dating the provost’s son, or mutumchi in Hausa.

The son of the provost and the woman clearly had a romantic relationship, as evidenced by their WhatsApp exchanges, until the young man recently decided to end it, at which point all hell broke loose with the wannabe journalist accusing the younger son of the provost of attempted kidnapping of the lady or her family member.

The aspiring journalists also claim that Faisal’s younger brother threatened the woman’s family by claiming to be a DSS official, despite the fact that no DSS credentials have been located on the young man.

One of the governing council members, who was appointed by the governor but decided to support the opposition candidate based on ethnic bias, was the mastermind behind the whole brouhaha in the college, according to a member of the council who spoke to this medium on the condition of anonymity.

A member of the governing council contacted a man posing as a journalist late last year because the man “wants the provost to be removed by the governor at all costs,” according to the statement. “This entire conspiracy began with this man giving sensitive college documents to this man in the hopes that the governor will remove her.

After years of searching for evidence to nail the provost , the religious bigots finally found the son of the provost they had accused of raping a lady. How else could a rape take place in a car without the victim raising the alarm if not for the perpetrator’s low IQ? The fact that Faisal is corresponding with a woman via WhatsApp suggests they are dating.

The police invited the provost despite the fact that there is no law in Nigeria requiring parents to be contacted before placing their adult children.

Since the veracity of the rape allegation could not be determined by press time, The Finder has learned that a member of the governing council who was upset with the provost teamed up with a fellow whose writeup was inconsistent with journalism and who has not recovered from the loss of the main opposition candidate to sponsor the writeup.
