NBA investigates Adamawa’s renegade REC, Yunusa Ari
An inquiry against the suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, has been initiated by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The organisation established an ad hoc committee with the purpose of conducting an inquiry into the accusations of sexual assault that have been made against him.
The committee comprises many individuals holding key positions within the National Basketball Association (NBA). These include Linda Rose Bala, who serves as the NBA’s 1st Vice President, Daniel Kip, who holds the position of Assistant General Secretary, the Chairperson of the NBA Women’s Forum, and the Chairman of the NBA Calabar Branch.
The investigation will also encompass the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, as well as a young lawyer from the Aba Branch who has gained significant attention on social media under the moniker “the baddest lawyer,” Ifunanya Excel Grant.
It is important to note that Yunusa-Ari was the subject of a petition about his involvement in the unlawful declaration of the outcome of the supplemental 2023 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State, while the vote counting process was still ongoing. The allegations against Miss Ifunanya revolved around her social media presence, which involved the uploading of explicit photographs and videos of herself, as well as engaging in the consumption of marijuana.
The National Publicity Secretary of the NBA, Akorede Habeeb Lawal, published a statement on Saturday on a decision made by the National Executive Committee of the organisation. This decision was taken at the committee’s monthly meeting, which was chaired by President Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau and attended by all national officials.

The Presiden
