I dare anyone to kick me out of the PDP. — Wike
Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has challenged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to suspend or reprimand him.
Wike, speaking on Wednesday, said he has not seen the party leader who would suspend or expel him.
“Who will punish me?” I should be the one advocating for the suspension of these persons who broke the party’s constitution by supporting rotation.
“Who is going to suspend me?” “I’d like to dare anyone,” Wike stated.
Before accepting the ministerial offer from President Bola Tinubu of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), the ex-governor says he notified the PDP leadership.
Wike stated that despite working for the APC administration, he remains a PDP chieftain. “I want to support Asiwaju (Tinubu) in his efforts to finish well,” he stated.
The PDP powerbroker and member of the main opposition party’s G5 group claimed he owed no one an apology for his support for the power shift to southern Nigeria.
“We’re just waiting for the presidential panel to finish; you’ll know who’s actually working well for the party,” Wike remarked. How can anybody even consider removing me? A state that elected a governor A state that supplied three senators A state that produced 32 members of the House of Assembly? A state that produced 11 of the 13 members of the House of Representatives
“The person who would suspend me is the person who couldn’t produce a governor; is the person who couldn’t produce three senators?”With all due respect, I have not seen that individual. Nobody is going to do it. As a result, the question of whether they will accomplish it does not arise.”
