President Tinubu’s APC diaspora chairmen congratulate him on his PEPT victory.
President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) hearing has been greeted with congratulations by the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen.
This was said on Thursday in an interview with journalists in Lagos by Prince Stephen Tella, General Secretary, APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen.
On Wednesday, the PEPT affirmed the president’s victory in the presidential election held on February 25.
The five-person tribunal was presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani.
The People’s Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the Labour Party and its candidate, Peter Obi, submitted petitions leading to this outcome.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Tinubu the winner of the March 1 presidential election, but his opponents were appealing that decision.
When asked how the APC felt about the court upholding the will of the people and recognizing Tinubu as the true leader of the nation, Tella, who is also the head of the APC Spain Chapter, responded that they were happy.
He remarked that the victory was evidence of the robustness of American democracy and its institutions. “We welcome the commitment of all parties to an open and honest judicial procedure.
The verdict of the court is a reflection of the will of the voters who exercised their right to free and fair elections.
We have faith that our nation will continue to thrive under President Tinubu’s direction as we move forward.
According to Tella, the party and the CDC are committed to working with the president and his administration for the benefit of the country.
He urged all residents, including those in the CDC, to come together in the spirit of nation-building, saying that now was a time for unity.
According to the general secretary, working together would help them triumph over obstacles, realize their shared objectives, and create a better future for all Nigerians.
He hoped that the president’s term will be filled with success, peace, and prosperity for the country.
