LASG releases proposed traffic rerouting for the Opebi Link Bridge.

According to the Lagos State Government, the re-construction of the Thomas Ajufo towards the Sheraton Link Bridge axis will require a traffic diversion strategy that will be in place for a total of four weeks.

This was announced in a statement released in Lagos on Sunday by the state’s transport commissioner, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi.

According to him, the diversion for the Opebi Link Bridge work would begin on October 16.

During the detour, Osiyemi said drivers and other road users would have access to alternate routes.

Due to construction, only one lane of the Opebi Road Carriageway will be open to vehicles travelling in the direction of Opebi Road.

Drivers coming from Allen Avenue/Toyin Street on their way to Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way would utilise Ola Ayinde Street to get to the Toyin Street/Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way connection at the Ikeja Under Bridge, he added.

To keep traffic moving smoothly, he urged drivers to follow the rules posted and the instructions of traffic management officials.
