PRESIDENT TINUBU NAMES TWO NEW HEALTH SECTOR CHIEF EXECUTIVES.
President Bola Tinubu has authorised the appointment of two (2) new Chief Executive Officers of Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Agencies:
Dr Muyi Aina, Executive Secretary / CEO of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
Dr. Kelechi Ohiri is the Director-General and CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
Dr. Muyi Aina is a worldwide recognised public health leader who earned a Masters in Public Health degree from Harvard University (USA) and a Doctorate degree from Johns Hopkins University (USA) after receiving his initial medical certification from the University of Ilorin.
Dr. Kelechi Ohiri was most recently the Global Alliance for Vaccines’ Managing Director for Strategy in Geneva, Switzerland. Following his first medical certification from the University of Lagos, he earned a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University (USA) and another Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He has extensive experience working for the World Bank, McKinsey & Company, and shaping reforms to the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS).
