BPP D-G requires honesty and openness in government contracts.
Mamman Ahmadu, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), has issued a directive to all procurement personnel to act with the utmost honesty and openness in all of their business operations.
On Monday in Abuja, at the 2023 Continuous Procurement Capacity Development Training Programme (CPCDTP), Ahamadu made the call, according to a statement released by BPP’s Head of Media, Janet McDickson.
He praised their enthusiasm throughout the three-week capacity training and encouraged them to put their newfound expertise to good use in their respective businesses.
He thinks that if they do that, they will be able to boost the economy and acquire goods and services more efficiently.
He also stressed the need for reading and following the provided exam requirements.
Mr. Adebowale Adedokun, the Bureau’s Director of Research Training and Strategic Planning, had earlier warned the participants against engaging in any conduct that would be deemed inappropriate or counterproductive to the exam’s objectives.
Adedokun emphasised the need to put their training into practise at all times.
There are three goals, in his opinion, for the test.
“In order to better equip them to fulfil their duties as procurement officers and contribute to the achievement of their businesses’ strategic goals,
For the purpose of assimilation into the procurement cadre and as a test of their knowledge of the procurement process.
