Appeal court verdict: Gov. dedicates victory to God and electorates of Adamawa

Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, has praised the judicial system for its work in resolving the 2023 governorship election challenge by an All Progressives Congress candidate who had run against the will of the people.

The ruling, according to Governor Fintiri, is proof that democracy is here to stay in Nigeria and a triumph for the rule of law. Additionally, he emphasised the importance of all factions coming together to support the progress of the state.

“The judgement did not come to me as a surprise, as the PDP worked tirelessly for its victory during the election,” he said in a statement released by his principal press secretary, Humwashi Wonosoiku.

The victory, according to Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who also spoke at the event, confirms what the people of Adamawa freely said in the previous election.

The Governor thanked the people of the state for their unwavering support and dedicated the win to both God and the people.

He praised the Court of Appeal’s and the Tribunal’s findings for thoroughly reviewing all the claims made against him in the petitions before reaching a verdict.
