Release of FCT Supplementary Budget: N50bn out of N61.55bn—Wike
The Federal Government has allocated N50 billion from the FCT’s supplementary budget, according to Minister Nyesom Wike, so that ongoing projects can be finished.
While inspecting projects in the nation’s capital on Thursday, the minister revealed this.
In addition, he announced that the ministry is prepared to work with other security authorities to install CCTV cameras in the FCT in order to monitor the safety of the nation’s capital.
After the 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill for the FCT was passed, the National Assembly later that year authorised a supplementary budget of N61.55 billion for the FCT.
Overhead expenditures (recurrent expenditures) amount to N12.90 billion of the authorised outlay, whereas capital projects account for N48.65 billion.
