God Used PDP to Advance Me, Claims Governor Fubara
On Sunday, Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers State, claimed that God was the ultimate architect of his personal and political fortunes.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), under Governor Fubara’s leadership came to an agreement to nominate him for governor after he claimed that God had already promoted him.
“Promotion for a cause” was the theme of the 2024 Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), which Fubara addressed during Sunday’s event at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
Since it mirrors his life’s narrative, the governor characterised the rally’s theme as a personal present.
My party and its leaders were conduits through which God initially elevated me. God, and God alone, is the source of promotion.
Since the rally’s topic is so similar to my own journey, I’ll accept it as a personal gift from RCCG.
“In my home, I will give thanks to the one and only God, who has given me this great blessing, and I will give thanks to him forever.”
He paid particular tribute to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who was in attendance at the programme. Pastor Adeboye’s love for Rivers State was evident in his decision to hold the special Holy Ghost Rally in Port Harcourt and in the blessings he bestows upon the state annually.
To guarantee the rally’s success in the state, the governor pledged the government’s ongoing assistance.
He emphasised the importance of RCCG continuing to pray for his government as they work towards fulfilling their governing mission.
Afterwards, Governor Fubara went to Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo, his hometown in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, to celebrate his 49th birthday and give thanks to God for his triumph before the Supreme Court.
