Celebrate Easter with Oneness and Harmony, Governor Fintiri tells Christians

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has urged Christians around the world to celebrate Easter with a spirit of harmony, compassion, and peace.

Humwashi Wonosikou, the chief press secretary to the governor, released a statement in which Fintiri remarked that the state’s peace will be greatly enhanced by adhering to such basic principles.

He thinks that this time of year should be used to reflect on Jesus Christ’s tolerance, selflessness, love, and sacrifice. While advocating for a fresh start for the country Governor Fintiri has called for a shift in mentality if the country is to progress.

“On this Easter, it is especially crucial to remember that foundation because our nation is confronted with issues that we have the power to overcome by mutual tolerance and sacrifice.”

Following Christ’s example of selfless service to humanity through his death and resurrection, Governor Fintiri urged Nigerians to do the same.

He made the following statement: “Our nation and indeed the globe we inhabit in, will be a better place for all of us when we demonstrate love and offer selfless service just as Christ did.”

He urged his countrymen to use this time to pray for Nigeria’s salvation, asking God to help the country overcome its current economic woes.

The governor emphasised the importance of taking full use of the season for thoughtful contemplation, saying that the lesson of being one’s brother’s keeper couldn’t be more fitting at this time.

The first step, regardless of one’s religious beliefs, can be to make an honest attempt to coexist peacefully. The success of Nigeria’s growth depends on the country’s ability to maintain peace.

And when we ask God for peace, we ought to be ready to do all it takes to make it a reality. “And that can begin immediately,” Fintiri stated.
