Governor Fintiri applauds Yahaya Sahabo Abubakar on his promotion to DIG.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, GSSR, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Yahaya Sahabo Abubakar on his well-deserved promotion to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for the North East Zone.

According to a statement from the Adamawa State Government House Media Directorate, the governor, Humwashi Wonosoki, said, “This prestigious appointment is a testament to your exceptional leadership and dedication to the Nigeria Police Force.”

Prior to his promotion, DIG Abubakar was the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 14, Katsina.

Governor Fintiri also congratulated Mohammed Adamu Dankwara, another distinguished Adamawa son, on his promotion to the position of Assistant Inspector General.

The Governor praised the Police Service Commission for honouring their achievements and expressed hope that their promotion will greatly improve Nigeria’s crime-fighting efforts.

He challenged them to use their abundance of knowledge to make a significant difference, saying, “I am particularly proud of your accomplishments and believe in your ability to turn around the rising insecurity situation.”

Make Adamawa proud, and don’t compromise your positions because of the pressures placed on you.”

Governor Fintiri asked the newly promoted officers to use their knowledge to generate positive change and have a long-term impact on the nation’s security landscape.
