Tinubu appoints CCT, PenCom heads, among others.
President Bola Tinubu announced a number of appointments on Saturday, including new heads for the National Pension Commission, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, and the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
According to presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu has accepted Dr. Mainasara Kogo’s appointment as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
According to the statement, Dr. Kogo is an experienced lawyer and analyst in the domains of law, security, economics, politics, and international diplomacy.
The President expects the Code of Conduct Tribunal’s tasks to be carried out with professionalism, integrity, and fidelity to the nation.
Furthermore, at the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, the President authorised the nomination of Mr. Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo as the new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer.
According to the presidential statement, Mr. Adebayo is an engineer who also works in community and social development.
“The President expects the new Chief Executive Officer of NALDA to deploy his competence and experience in supporting and driving the growth and sustainability of Nigeria’s agricultural sector,” according to the statement.
President Tinubu also confirmed Mr. Jobson Ewalefoh’s appointment as the new Director-General of the Infrastructure Concessions Regulatory Commission.
According to the presidential spokesman, the nomination is subject to ratification by the Nigerian Senate.
According to the announcement, Mr. Ewalefoh is a professional with extensive experience in government and development organisations, as well as competence in public-private partnerships, public policy change, and development.
It continued: “The President expects absolute dedication and probity in the management of the ICRC and in pursuit of its strategic objective of accelerating investment in national infrastructure through the innovative mobilisation of private-sector funding.”
President Tinubu also confirmed Ms. Omolola Oloworaran’s appointment as the new Director-General of the National Pension Commission.
According to the presidential spokesman, the Nigerian Senate must confirm Ms. Oloworaran’s appointment, who is a finance and banking expert with extensive expertise.
The press release continued: “President anticipates goal-oriented leadership to drive efficiency and superlative performance in the National Pension Commission as the prime regulator of the Nigerian pension industry.”
President Tinubu has authorised the nomination of Mr. Oluwaseun Faleye as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Mrs. Mojisolaoluwa Kehinde Alli-Macaulay as Executive Director (Operations).
According to the announcement, Mr. Faleye is a legal and corporate finance specialist, and Mrs. Alli-Macaulay is a former politician and head of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Women’s Affairs, Poverty Alleviation, and Job Creation.
It continued: “The President anticipates a comprehensive re-positioning of the NSITF for enhanced social protection and qualitative service delivery to the Nigerian people.”
