Dangote Refinery, MRS to Offer Petrol for ₦935/Ltr Across the Country
For its retail locations across the country, the Dangote Refinery will be selling Premium Motor Spirit, often known as petrol, for a price of ₦935 per litre thanks to its partnership with MRS.
This follows similar price cuts below ₦1,000 per litre by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
The president of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, praised President Bola Tinubu for the naira for crude swap deal’s beneficial effects on the Nigerian economy, which have resulted in lower petroleum product prices, in a statement he published on his X account on Saturday.
Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) was recently dropped in price at Dangote’s Refinery loading gantry from N970 to N899.50, and the company also extended favourable credit terms to marketers in an effort to help the Nigerian people.
“To make sure that this discount reaches the customers, we have partnered with MRS to sell gasoline at N935 per litre at all of its retail locations across the country,” the statement continued.
Starting Monday, this pricing will be available across the country; it has already begun in Lagos.
Dangote urged the NNPC Retail and all other marketers, among others, “to collaborate with us to guarantee that Nigerians relish premium petrol at reduced rates” in the statement.
There would be benefits for Nigeria and Nigerians from the Dangote Refinery, he claims. As a result, we will keep collaborating with different participants in the value chain to provide affordable, high-quality fuel.
“Our goal is to ensure that every Nigerian has easy access to premium petroleum products that are beneficial for their cars, their well-being, and their wallets.”
The selling of crude oil to local refineries in Nigerian naira and the purchase of petroleum products in the same currency were both approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in September, led by Tinubu.
The action, which started on October 1, stabilised the local currency and removed dollar pressure.
