Fintiri vanquished team of Binani, Abbo, Nyako, and Hudu in 2023, group replies Atiku.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2023 election, has faced criticism for his assertion that no one can challenge Binani, Ishaku Abbo, Abdulazziz Nyako, a former senator, and himself.
In a viral video released penultimate Tuesday, Atiku made the accusation.
However, the Africa Civil Rights Forum responded by calling Atiku’s assertion a simple blackmail attempt to elicit pity.
The group’s Executive Secretary, Pwavodi Emmanuel, stated that the former PDP candidate was simply pursuing a ghost from the past.
The group issued a statement warning Atiku not to cry foul, but he has already done so.
Governor Fintiri will do what he knows best by backing his successor in 2027 in doing exactly what was done to the quartet of Binani, Abbo, Nyako, and Hudu Yunusa Ari, the renegade REC that illegally attempted to truncate democracy in Adamawa in 2023.
He continued, “Atiku and his newfound friends are stirring up controversy over the impending defeat they will face in 2027.”
If we are not forgetting history, no governorship candidate has ever won Adamawa state for Atiku, and it is well documented that Atiku supported the late Ibrahim Bappetel and was twice defeated by former Governor Murtalal Nyako, much to Atiku’s dismay.
Before Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri arrived, Atiku had never won Adamawa’s presidential election. Fintiri persevered through adversity and won the state twice for Atiku.
“It is unfortunate that Atiku Abubakar, who once held the nation’s number two position for eight years, knows no better than to disparage the person who delivered over a million votes for him in 2019 and 2023.
Our advice is for Atiku to stop playing the victimhood game and instead thank the governor for delivering Adamawa State.
Binani, Abbo, and Nayko are no strangers to Governor Fintiri’s political whipping, having been conquered at random in 2023 and will be conquered and humiliated again in 2027.
