Coalition: You Cannot Serve Two Masters. Bode George Tells Atiku, PDP Members

According to Bode George, some members of the ADC Coalition, including as Atiku Abubakar, were responsible for the turmoil inside the PDP.Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has challenged some of the party’s leaders who are leading the opposition alliance on the African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) platform.

The PDP chieftain reminded Atiku and other PDP members who have not resigned their PDP membership despite being part of the ADC coalition that they cannot serve two masters.

“You cannot serve two masters, as stated in the Holy Book.” Either you serve A or B. “But to say you’re in A and B is a fallacy,” George remarked Friday.

He accused ADC Chairman David Mark and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of being among those responsible for the PDP’s problems.

George believes that the ADC coalition cannot become a strong opposition platform like the PDP because it lacks both strategy and a defined concept.

The PDP leader said, “This situation is nothing but existential imbecility.” Also known as existential docility. Why are they all going there?

“This is your father’s home. The house made you, thrust you into the spotlight. You receive every award and recognition from this same house. Is it culturally acceptable to leave because of a little crisis? No, you sit there.

“Do you leave if your house is leaking? No, you’re the landlord.

Do they have a concept? What strategy do they have? That’s a classless strategy.”

George claimed that some ADC Coalition members were responsible for the PDP conflict.

“When we held the last convention, General Buhari had just completed eight years. Then Atiku Abubakar expressed interest in competing, but we declined because he was a northerner who had just completed eight years. We had Peter Obi in the south. This marked the beginning of the crisis.

“David Mark chaired the convention, while Iyorchia Ayu chaired the party. Of course, you can’t get away with it. “I warned against it at the time,” he stated.Leaders and members of the opposition coalition met in Abuja on Wednesday and announced the ADC as the platform for challenging President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election.

They appointed former Senate President David Mark and former Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola as interim National Chairman and Secretary, respectively.

Aside from Atiku, opposition figures at the presentation include former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi, Dino Melaye, Solomon Dalong, Dele Momodu, Gabriel Suswam, Ireti Kingibe, Emeka Ihedioha, and Sadique Abubakar.
