Flood: Governor Fintiri Constitutes 21-Member Relief and Recovery Committee
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has established a 21-member Relief and Post-Recovery Committee in response to the recent flooding in Yola South Local Government Area. The committee is chaired by the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor explained that the committee comprises representatives from various government agencies, security agencies, and community stakeholders. The members are as follows:

Governor Fintiri charged the committee with the responsibility of assessing the immediate needs of the affected communities, recommending appropriate relief measures, and formulating sustainable post-flood recovery strategies.
“We are committed to providing relief and support to affected communities and working towards sustainable solutions to mitigate future disasters,” the Governor stated.
He urged the committee to carry out its duties with fairness, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility, emphasizing that the primary goal is to bring relief, restore hope, and support the rebuilding process for those affected.
