Dangote Refinery Reduces Ex-Depot Petrol Price by ₦30

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a ₦30 reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol—bringing the price down from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre.

The price adjustment was disclosed in a statement signed by the Refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina. The new pricing took effect on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

According to the statement, the reduction reflects the Refinery’s continued commitment to national development and its assurance of a steady and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products.

“In line with our dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions, Dangote Petroleum Refinery will begin the phased rollout of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria, starting August 15, 2025,” the statement added.
