FG, States, LGs Share N2.103trn September 2025 Revenue – FAAC
The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of ₦2.103 trillion in federation account revenue for September 2025 among the federal, state, and local governments.
The allocation was made at FAAC’s October 2025 meeting held in Abuja.
According to a communiqué issued after the meeting, the total distributable revenue comprised ₦1.239 trillion in statutory revenue, ₦812.593 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and ₦51.684 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
FAAC said total gross revenue for September stood at ₦3.054 trillion. Deductions for the cost of collection amounted to ₦116.149 billion, while transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings totaled ₦835.005 billion.
Gross statutory revenue for the month was ₦2.128 trillion, down by ₦710.134 billion from the ₦2.838 trillion recorded in August. VAT revenue, however, rose to ₦872.630 billion in September from ₦722.619 billion in August, an increase of ₦150.011 billion.
From the ₦2.103 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received ₦711.314 billion, state governments ₦727.170 billion, and local governments ₦529.954 billion. A further ₦134.956 billion, representing 13% of mineral revenue, went to oil-producing states as derivation.
Out of the ₦1.239 trillion statutory revenue, the Federal Government received ₦581.672 billion, the states ₦295.032 billion, and local governments ₦227.457 billion, with ₦134.956 billion shared as derivation.
From the ₦812.593 billion VAT pool, the Federal Government got ₦121.889 billion, the states ₦406.297 billion, and the local governments ₦284.408 billion.
For EMTL, the Federal Government received ₦7.753 billion, the states ₦25.842 billion, and the local governments ₦18.089 billion.
FAAC noted that in September, import duty, VAT, and EMTL recorded significant increases, while Companies Income Tax (CIT) and CET levies fell sharply. Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) rose marginally, while oil and gas royalty and excise duty posted slight declines.
