Jada council chairman felicitates governor fintiri on 2026 new year
The Chairman of Jada Local Government Council has felicitated with the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, on the occasion of the 2026 New Year, describing the new year as a renewed opportunity to deepen good governance and consolidate the gains recorded under his administration.
In a New Year message issued on behalf of the executive, legislative councilors, management, and people of Jada Local Government Area, the chairman congratulated Governor Fintiri for successfully steering the affairs of Adamawa State through the challenges of the past year, noting that his leadership has continued to inspire confidence among citizens at both the state and grassroots levels.
The chairman commended the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance, peacebuilding, and infrastructural development, stressing that communities across Jada Local Government Area have benefitted from policies and interventions aimed at improving security, education, healthcare delivery, and rural development. According to him, the deliberate focus on people-oriented projects has strengthened trust between government and the governed and reinforced the principles of transparency and accountability.
He noted that 2026 presents another critical opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms and expand development initiatives that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens, particularly at the local government level. The chairman assured Governor Fintiri of the unwavering support and cooperation of the Jada Local Government Council in the collective task of advancing development, promoting unity, and sustaining peace across the state.
While reflecting on the spirit of the New Year, the chairman urged citizens of Jada Local Government Area to embrace unity, tolerance, and mutual understanding, emphasizing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and collective responsibility. He called on traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and women associations to continue partnering with government in promoting social harmony and economic growth.
The chairman also expressed optimism that the policies and programmes of the Fintiri administration in 2026 would further empower local governments to effectively deliver democratic dividends at the grassroots. He reaffirmed the council’s readiness to align its development agenda with the broader vision of the state government for a more prosperous and secure Adamawa State.
